Did a thing to experiment with color. Pretty happy with how this turned out. So here's Colby up at an early hour. Might do more of these with the other characters.

New Guys and Designs

Designed Colby's mother. She was a wise woman, and was looked up to in her village. Sadly, she never knew Colby for long. For she was killed by Alastar in the raid.

Blodeudd, Arran's familiar.

So, I keep seeing Blodeudd comforting Colby when he's having a nightmare of the raid.

"Can you hear the faeries, young brothers?"

Siorus: "Your lessons are stupid and you're stupid.."
Llewelyn: "*fake offended gasp*"

I took too many notes XD.

Blodeudd and Fuzzy, Colby's spirit animal.

Colby keeps a small altar because of Alastar's religious indoctrination.

The tree could be symbolizing the oak tree of the druids. Poking at Llewelyn's pagan beliefs.

Applied some features of the wolves in Alastar's dogs, especially the sharp teeth. I also had them thinner, given that Irish Wolfhounds are sight hounds.

New dude! His name is Torin, yet due to a vow of silence he took, he never revealed his name. He was a hermit in Iceland, living there longer than Odhrán. He befriended Odhrán, but only by means of prescence and chanting hymns, for he never spoke. Odhrán dubbed him, "The Quiet One" when talking about his time with him.

So, prior to Torin becoming a hermit, he was a chief to the army Alastar was in, being Alastar's commanding officer. One day in battle, he killed a soldier in pure rage out of vengeance, and seeing the soldier was young and frightened, he quit his position, becoming a monk, then seeking salvation in Iceland.

Young Alastar.

"I AIN'T GOT NO SLEEP 'CAUSE OF Y'ALL! Y'ALL NOT GONNA SLEEP 'CAUSE OF ME!"

Arran

Arran: "It's been so long, Avon..."
Colby: "Who?"

So here's a new dude. His name is Arran and he's a druid from Colby's home village. He was intended to be Colby's (then called Avon) godfather. That was until Alastar and Siorus raided the village and stole Colby. Arran tried to fight back, but he was left with a deep scar across his nose, for Alastar was brutal. Since then, he kept a vigil over what was left of the village, trying to communicate with the spirits of Colby's parents, and trying to find a sign that his godson was alive. Then Colby returned to the village, trying to find out about his past, and reuniting with Arran after so many years.

Poster Thing??

From left to right, top to bottom.

This was pretty fun to make, and I'm especially happy with how Rinan's piece turned out. Call it a poster for something, the story's still in development. Not all of the characters belong to me; Balthazar, Zabo, and Theo all belong to my friend. But really, I'm overall really happy with how this turned out.

Siorus

Odhran: "Heh, you just gotta go with Brother Llewelyn's weirdness."
Siorus: "Hmph!"

Alastar: "Heathens have infected this very place, Siorus. You know that as much as I."

New dude! This guy's name is Siorus, and he's one of the more conservative monks in Lindisfarne. As an apprentice, he was known to be quite a grump, disliking Llewelyn's unconventional teachings and his lessons, being taught by way of riddles and laughing towards the sky. Years later, when Odhrán came back from Iceland, he came back with Alastar, the newcomer from a militia that got attacked by Vikings. Alastar, being conservative himself, was appalled by how liberal the monastery ran, and swore to himself to become the abbot. Siorus, seeing the opportunity to see Lindisfarne ran in an orderly fashion, aided Alastar rise to power, even if it meant taking things to the extreme. As time went by however, Alastar became more and more extreme, and Siorus became more reasonable among the liberal leaning monks. The night Alastar raided Colby's home village sealed his fate, as Siorus became overwhelmed by the guilt of hurting innocent people. Siorus prayed for forgiveness in the chapel, until he was caught by Alastar himself. The two began an argument on how guilt over the "enemies of God" was worthless, then Siorus outright questioned Alastar's position as abbot. It led to a full physical fight, and sadly, Siorus didn't make it. No one was watching or eavesdropping, except for Rinan, who knew Alastar was bad news in the first place.

Rinan and Some Sketches

"My only dream in life is to become a cicada."

New dude! His name is Rinan and he was Llewelyn's apprentice after Odhrán finished his training. Not to mention, when Alastar was becoming the abbot by way of blackmail or murder, he did some detective work, trying to gather evidence that Alastar was not fit to become abbot. However, he was poisoned by Alastar himself just as he was about to reveal the truth. It was unknown as to how Rinan died to the other brothers in the monastery until Colby found secret diaries containing Alastar's history Rinan kept himself.

"I'm siingin' in the rain! Jus' siingin' in the rain! What a glorious feelin', I'm happy again!"

"Is this a murder mystery?"

Some Modern AU sketches. Faolán is just an ordinary kid while Odhrán is a shy dude with a hoodie and Llewelyn is a hippie.

Two amateur sleuths, Colby and Rinan. And Alastar is a priest with a history of serving in the military, which is where he got the scar in a war he fought in.

Just some stuff from the past two weeks. Mostly stuff with the Lindisfarne dudes and introducing a new guy :).
